Garden Party Tumblers

Bongenre and their beautiful styling has been a staple in client projects from Nashville to Atlanta, Florida, and back to Michigan.   It’s a way cool summer time outdoor collections of dishes.  Ok maybe not just for summer,I’ve used mine at Thanksgiving.  Here is just a sampling of the mix and match styles available.

You can see where the mix and match possibilities are endless!

These are dishwasher safe, not microwavable, but let’s be honest, you shouldn’t be microwaving any type of plastic and eating from it anyway.

They set a beautiful table, they won’t shatter if they hit the pavers,  and with the season of outdoor dining in full swing these will be an enjoyable treat.

Available through INSTINCTIVE  INTERIORS  at home.

Sandra’s Top 10: White Dishes

Something every home should have is a good set of white dishes.  They are the perfect basic for all table settings.  All white or mixed with more colorful plates you just can’t go wrong with white.  Here are ten of my favorite patterns.

Berry and Thread – by Juliska

The fun thing about Juliska’s Berry and Thread is that the pattern also comes in a cappuccino Brown, Ice Blue, Butter Yellow and Pistachio Green.  Which provides endless possibilities for a beautiful table, not to mention the entire line of Juliska patterns are designed to mixed and matched with each other, including their glassware (a later topic).

Jardins du Monde – by Juliska

I’m sorry but the mug alone makes me want to start my day with coffee served in that.

Petite Singe – by Juliska

In all honestly, I’m not a huge monkey fan but I included these because  the monkey is subtle and the design is very pretty and is a great accent piece with the Berry and Thread and the Jardins du Monde. Not to mention the monkey is the symbol of ingenuity and spontaneity, which makes me like these even more.

A side note the Juliska line will be carried at INSTINCTIVE  INTERIORS  at home boutique beginning in June.

Baroque – by Target

Its beauty at a bargain that made me include these in the list – a 20 piece place setting $70.  Note that they’re not available in stores, only online.  Which is something that you should know, much of the really fantastic stuff at Target you won’t find in the store it’s only online.

Incanto – by Vietri

I love all the accessory pieces available in Vietri  line  just look at this little scalloped condiment bowl.  I can see it with scoop of beautiful  bright green pesto.

New Upholstery in Production…

Here’s a snapshot of what’s in the works for the first round of upholstery pieces being created exclusively for the INSTINCTIVE  INTERIORS  at home boutique.

The Grace Chair

I’m having it covered in this fabulous Designer’s Guild fabric called Ombrione in the color Ocean.  It’s a beautiful washed velvet classic damask with a soft linen look ground.  As Designer’s Guild describes it “timeless and elegant in the extreme”, no truer words were ever spoken!!   The welt will be in a turquoise linen.

One of the many benefits of having my own upholstery line is that I can use the fabrics that I’ve selected for the line, or at any point use a “to the trade only” fabric to completely customize the look at the boutique.  So expect to see designer fabrics and trims, such as Barry Dixon’s new line for Vervain (see below) recently featured in Traditional Home or Barbara Barry’s and Candice Olson’s line of fabrics and trims for Kravet on the boutique floor.

The first piece to arrive will be a loveseat in this classic English Saddle Arm style with a Flax colored  linen fabric and beautiful trim detail.  I’ve chose a loveseat for the floor because of the limited space but the pieces are available by the inch.  So if a client needs a 101” or a 74”sofa, the factory can accommodate the request.   Also available are optional leg choices.  All will be standard with spring down seat cushion, other cushions are available as well.

The image is not a correct depiction of the color it’s a beautiful turquoise that complements the chair fabric perfectly.

I expect this shipment to arrive the end of June early July.  Stop in a see and sit in the new line.

Also coming soon will be window treatments!!!

The List – # 3 Paddywax Candles

You just can’t beat the fragrance of Gardenia by Paddywax, hands down the most beautiful home fragrance, not too sweet, not too floral, just a beautiful romantic  fragrance.  Paddywax Luxe 20-Ounce Poured Glass Candle, GardeniaDefinitely don’t confuse this with the wretched fragrance of my youth, Jungle Gardenia.  This is by far is Paddywax’s biggest seller and has a cult following, one whiff and you’ll understand why!

Runner’s up….Paddywax Luxe 20-Ounce Poured Glass Candle, Paperwhite

Ok…Paperwhite known more for it’s holiday presentation, but this fragrance is a beautiful trio of jasmine, fresh paperwhite and lily of the valley ( a childhood favorite, my mom always brings me a bouquet of Lilly of the Valley on Mother’s Day).

Daffodil-Paddywax Candles - Luxe Collection

Daffodil, the name alone means SPRING.  Treat yourself to beautiful home fragrance, it ranks right up there with a new lipstick!!

Upholstery by INSTINCTIVE INTERIORS at home

Back from the tour of the plant that will be making the custom upholstery for my boutique.  First and foremost, I was impressed by the cleanliness, organization of the factory PLUS the pure hard work with such attention to detail by the employees.

Check out the pictures from my visit.

IMG_0015 IMG_0021 The European Beech Wood frames are imported from Spain and Italy.  The factory maintains good stock, which is why I can have a custom sofa in my client’s home in about 5 weeks.   Notice how clean the floors are, how many factories have  you seen this immaculate?

Loved this detail, with a tight back sofa such as this, the back cushions are two separate cushions, not one cushion with a welt down the center as you’d see in many other manufacturer’s furniture.

IMG_0055 Packed and ready to ship!

You’ll be able to see and sit in samples at the INSTINCTIVE INTERIORS at home boutique in about 5 weeks.  I’m so excited to be able to offer my clients such beautiful pieces of furniture.
